Hello all. I just joined this community as I was searching for stuff involving The State, which as you all seem to know appeared on MTV for awhile in the mid-'90s. I always thought Tom was the funniest one in the ensemble, though everyone else was fabulous too of course. When I saw this community I had to join! I still watch Reno as much as possible, but I have to say I don't absolutely LOVE it like I did The State. But I love Tom and I'm glad he's got another show going, for a few years there I could only see him in the Snickers commercials.

I'm wondering if anyone knows where I might be able to get any copies of The State? Ebay hasn't turned anything up... I'd love to pay someone who maybe just taped the show to make duplicates for me.

And, did anyone catch Stella the other night on Comedy Central, starring Michael Showalter, David Wain and Michael Ian Black? I liked it.

that's it ~ L

USA TODAY Top 100 people of 2004 [16 Dec 2004|07:19pm]

Congratulations Tom! We're happy for you! :D

87. Thomas Lennon. It all started with a skintight pair of khaki shorts, some reflective sunglasses and a dream. This year, Lennon transformed Lt. Jim Dangle into a 21st century Barney Fife. Which begs the question, who's the modern-day Otis?

Like the new layout? Took me a few hours as I couldn't get it looking the way I had in mind.

BIG thanks to pessimistchick who put up with me (like always) and helped me with the overrides and the banner. :D

Hello, everyone! My name is Cacilie,I'm 30 years old,and have been a fan of Thomas Lennon since 1994,when he was with The State on their MTV show(I'm also a Stater)!I've met him twice, kissed him on his right cheek, and even seen him bare-naked(with photos to prove it,which he's seen). If any of you would like me to tell you more about how I got to do those things, please email me! :) Thomas is a very charming, nice, and considerate man,and is beautiful outside and in!

I guess shorts that tight WOULD make your voice come out different.. LOL [28 Nov 2004|10:32pm]

But comedy doesn't come without a price. Lennon, who is straight and married, notes he has probably done physical damage to himself thanks to the shorts, but they do help create the character. "They make my voice come out in a certain way," he says. "I feel very Steve McQueen-y whenever I'm in the outfit. I feel way more Steve McQueeny than queeny. Or both. It's some sort of combination."

NEWS FLASH!!!! for all of you looking for reno apparel for everyday or as christmas gifts.
i was at the virgin megastore the other night and i found a whole lot of reno shirts!!!!!

"the classic" jonsey with "i will not hesitate to beat your ass with your own shoe!"
dangle in the style of "the classic" with "i need to be able to move like a law enforcement cheetah." (which i bought)
baby-t clemmy in "the classic" style with "i beleive the rules were meant to be broken" (something along the lines of that line she said in the first episode)
and two random group t-shirts

they only have a couple shirts on the web site, but a BUNCH more at the virgin megastore: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/index=apparel-index&field-keywords=reno%20911&dispatch=search&results-process=bin&bq=1&bc=none/102-2650474-3599352

Apparently this link allow you to download this file for either 1 week or 30 downloads - I assume whichever comes first.

Click on the link and it will start downloading the Reno911 commentary of season1/episode1 with THOMAS LENNON and Niecy Nash. Don't forget to save it to your computer, not just open it if you want it for the future.

LOL. kut_u_up_b182, your icons crack me up. You never answered me before - do you make them yourself? I'd love to see more of them. That scene cracked me up.. especially when Dangle was making fun of Wiegel to the camera while she wasn't looking.

Here is my Dangle-ness for the day:
